Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026 · Version 2026-11-03. This policy describes how Duty Dock, operated by Latouche Technologies LLC, handles information used to provide the service.
Information we process
We record the account ID, the versions of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy acknowledged, and the server-generated date and time when an account holder agrees. These records help us establish the agreement and request renewed acceptance if our legal documents change.
Depending on the features you use, Duty Dock may process your account and profile information, including your name, email address, phone number, business name and importer type; vehicle and supplier-listing information you submit; saved calculations and comparisons; vessel-follow and notification preferences; subscription and entitlement information; support messages; and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
Vehicle and supplier data
When you paste a supported vehicle listing, Duty Dock may retrieve or process information available from that listing so the app can prefill vehicle details, supplier amounts and other facts relevant to the calculation.
Import assistance enquiries
If you request import advice or help finding a dealer or customs broker, we collect your name, contact details, request category and message. We use these details to respond through your selected contact method and deliver internal messages to the protected Duty Dock admin inbox. You can view replies in the app. We do not automatically forward your details to an external professional.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Duty Dock processes a device notification token and your selected vessel or account notifications so it can send the alerts you request.
Payments
Payment card details are processed by the applicable billing provider, such as Google Play for in-app purchases or Stripe for web checkout. Duty Dock receives the identifiers and subscription status needed to manage access; it does not store full payment-card numbers.
How we use information
- Authenticate accounts and maintain profiles.
- Record acceptance of the Terms of Service and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy.
- Calculate and save vehicle-import duty estimates.
- Provide listing extraction, comparison and account features.
- Manage subscriptions, plan usage and entitlements.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose errors and maintain service reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy and account-deletion requests.
- Receive import-assistance enquiries, contact users about their requests and, with additional permission, help identify external service providers.
Service providers
Duty Dock uses service providers for authentication and database services, hosting, Google sign-in, Google Play billing and application distribution, push notifications and web payment processing. When you use a supported listing link, the supplier's website may also receive the normal request needed to load that listing. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations where applicable.
Advertising on Free accounts
The Android app uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements to accounts confirmed as Free on Home, Compare and Saved, and occasional interstitial advertisements at the transition to a completed calculation result. Free users may also choose to watch a rewarded advertisement for one calculation result without an interstitial. The reward is earned only after the advertising SDK confirms completion, is stored on the current device for the account, and does not unlock paid features. Results remain available when an ad cannot load. Paid accounts do not receive ads. Vessel Tracker and Profile do not display ads.
Google's advertising SDK may process device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, app interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. Duty Dock does not send your saved estimates, vehicle comparisons, subscription purchase tokens or support messages to AdMob as ad targeting data.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents privacy choices before ad requests. You can revisit these choices using the Ad privacy choices control in an advertising area when it is required. Ad availability depends on your region, consent choices and Google's approval. Read Google's advertising privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes and protect the platform. You can initiate deletion in the app or through our account deletion page.
After we verify a deletion request, we delete the account profile and normal product data associated with the account, such as saved account records, notifications and vessel follows. We may retain the minimum records needed for billing, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Any local data stored on your device remains there until you sign out, clear app storage or uninstall the app.
Children
Duty Dock is not designed for children and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect account and service information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
